Artist has "Banner" Year at AddisonArt, Orleans

The artist joined the impressive roster and highly-respected representation of AddisonArtGallery, Orleans,

an exclusive represenation for the artist on Cape Cod, last summer, moving on to a "Banner" year

for the artist. AddisonArt is known to represent some of the finest talent in the region.

A December feature on the front page of the Arts Section of the Provincetown Banner, called the artist's decision to make painting a career "a lark that is coming up spades." Banner reporter Melora North wrote:

"Wellfleet resident and artist Rick Fleury didn’t take up painting until 1997 when he decided to take time off from his career in advertising...Ten years later he is now a featured artist at the Addison Gallery, 43 South Orleans Road in Orleans, where in just the last four months he has sold 41 paintings..."  (For complete story, go to "In the Press.")

January's American Art Collector writes: "Cape Cod Gallery Sells 10 Paintings Before Show Opens...

The December issue had barely been printed when four paintings sold directly from a preview article (in AAC)

about Rick Fleury's winter show. More sales quickly followed.

"Gallery owner Helen Addison was ecstatic: 'Since we received and displayed advance copies of the December issue,

ten paintings by Rick Fleury sold, a week before the show opened."  (For this and other AAC clips, go to "In the Press.")

A featured show of this artist is slated for Memorial Day Weekend, opening Saturday, May 24.
